VPN setup in short
Most services ship their own app, and the app is the part that breaks: it disappears from a store, it demands an update, it refuses to run on an older phone. BSR works the other way around. The product is a key, a single vless:// line, and it goes into a free general purpose client that you install yourself. The whole VPN setup is three actions: install a client, get the key from the Telegram bot, paste it.
The same key works on up to five devices at once. There is nothing to log in to, so moving from a phone to a laptop means pasting the same line again, not creating a second account.

How to install a VPN key in three steps

- 2Open @bsr_key_bot in Telegram, take the five free days and copy the vless:// link, or keep the QR code on screen.
- 3In the client choose import from clipboard or scan QR, select a location and switch the connection on.
Why a client instead of our own app
A general purpose client is maintained by people whose only job is the client. It is open source, it is audited in public, and it supports several protocols, so it is not a target when stores remove VPN brands. If one client stops being updated, the key moves to the next one in a minute. You are never locked to our software, because there is no our software.
It also keeps us honest. We cannot add a tracker to an app we do not publish. What runs on your device is code you can inspect or replace.
Before you start

Questions people ask before the first key
Is VPN setup harder without a dedicated app?
No. It is one extra step, pasting a line, and it takes less time than creating an account with an email and a password. After the first import the client remembers the key.
Which client should I start with?
Hiddify if you want the same interface on every platform. v2rayNG is the long standing choice on Android, Streisand is free on iPhone, and v2rayN is the usual pick on Windows.
Do I need to change any system settings?
No. The client asks for permission to create a VPN connection the first time, which is a standard system prompt. There are no profiles, certificates or manual routes to add.
Can I install it on a work or school laptop?
Only if you are allowed to install software on it. On a managed device follow the rules of whoever manages it. The guide for Chromebooks explains the difference between managed and personal devices.
What if my device is not listed?
Any client that reads VLESS links will take the key. Linux users usually choose NekoRay or sing-box, and Android TV runs v2rayNG.
Does the key expire when I change phones?
No. The key is tied to the term, not to a device. Install a client on the new phone and paste the same line.
