The two routes
If you are asking how do you setup VPN on iPhone, the first thing to know is that iOS has a built in route. Under Settings, General, VPN and Device Management you can add a configuration by hand, and iOS supports L2TP, IKEv2 and IPSec there. You fill in a server address, an ID and your credentials, and the provider gives you those values.
A key is a different route. BSR issues a VLESS key, and VLESS is not one of the types that menu offers. It goes into a free client app that creates the tunnel for you, so the manual form stays empty.
Setup with a key, in a minute
- 1Install a no-cost app from the App Store. Streisand and V2Box both open the key.
- 2Write to @bsr_key_bot in Telegram and request the trial. It wants no email, card or Apple ID.
- 3Tap the plus sign in the client. Scan the QR image from the chat, or copy the vless:// line and use import from clipboard.
- 4The phone will ask permission to install a VPN profile. Tap Allow, then approve with Face ID or the passcode.
- 5Choose the nearest of the six locations and connect. A small VPN badge shows in the status bar.
Setup by hand, when the provider gives values
- Open Settings, General, VPN and Device Management, then add a configuration.
- Choose the type your provider names: IKEv2, IPSec or L2TP.
- Enter the description, server, and the ID or credentials exactly as given.
- Save and switch the toggle on.
- If the provider sent a configuration profile instead, tap it to install.
Fixing a connection that stays down
Check the clock and the connection first: the tunnel needs a working network. Try another location. If you pasted a key, make sure the whole line was copied, since a cut vless:// link is the most common reason for an error. Remove the entry and import it again before trying anything else.
Deleting the client or the entry under VPN and Device Management removes the tunnel entirely, so you can undo the setup in a minute.
A few smaller things catch people out. A phone on a school or work profile may forbid adding configurations, and then nothing in Settings will help. Low Power Mode can pause background connections. And a key issued for the free days stops when they end, so an error a week later may simply mean the term is over.
Which route to pick
Use the manual form if your provider hands you those values. Use a client if you hold a key. Five devices share one BSR key, so the same line also works on an iPad or a laptop. We are the ones selling the key, so keep that in mind. The manual steps are taken from Apple's documentation.

How do I setup VPN on iPhone if the App Store is not available?
Without the store you can use the manual Settings route only for IKEv2, IPSec or L2TP values from a provider. A VLESS key needs a client from the store.
Is an extra app required for a VPN on iPhone?
