VPNs for TikTok in short
A tunnel reliably solves one TikTok problem: a network that blocks it. Schools, offices, government buildings and some campus networks filter the app, and an encrypted connection to a server outside restores it. A tunnel is much weaker at the other thing people hope for, which is changing the region of the feed. TikTok decides your region mostly from the SIM card, the store account, the language settings and the account's history. The IP address is only one signal among several.
